How do we protect your funds?
As an e-money institution supervised by the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority (EFSA), Monemon takes protecting your money seriously.
Your funds are kept in special accounts, completely separate from Monemon’s own money. This means that even if something unexpected happens to us, your money stays safe and accessible.
While we’re not part of the Deposit Guarantee Fund (because we’re not a bank), our safeguarding measures meet the highest standards for e-money institutions, giving you top-level security.
How to know if a message is really from Monemon?
We never send emails or make phone calls asking for your card numbers or PIN codes. If any message feels sketchy, just send us a chat message in the app or reach out to noworries@monemon.com to double-check. Stay safe!
Extra tips to stay safe!
- Always lock your phone with a strong PIN or biometrics.
- Keep your PIN codes in your brain, not your phone.
- Update your app and phone software regularly—it’s like getting a security shield!
- Turn on “Find My Device” so you can track or wipe your phone if it’s lost.
- Avoid using sketchy public Wi-Fi for logging into your account.
- Don’t use your work email to create a personal account. Stick with a private email you always have access to—it’s safer and makes things easier if you change jobs.
